  1. I have never been a Starbucks fan so I go maybe once a year. However, if you go to any Starbucks located in a casino, you’ll pay a lot more to cover their rent and higher taxes on the strip or downtown than you will in our residential areas.

  2. Everything costs more on the strip. Just like most tourist areas in the world. The rent in these places is astronomical plus they have to pay a percentage of sales to the resort. This is the same reason that there is no dollar menu at McDonald’s and the reason that in n out costs an extra dollar or so. Also to an extent they charge it because people will pay it. As a tourist you’re stuck on the strip. You are not going to take a ride off strip to get cheaper coffee. And they know it.

  4. When you say Vegas, you probably mean the Strip or Freemont.
While those places are in both Las Vegas and the city of Paradise, NV; that is not Vegas. In the rest of the city StarBucks is the same relative price as anywhere. On the strip, you are paying downtown LA / mid-town Manhattan prices.
A mixture of supply & demand, plus upper middle-class fool’s that love expensive coffee are more plentiful in tourist traps. Combine that with the price for rent for the right location and you have the perfect storm to waste way too much money on flavored coffee.

  5. Starbucks is expensive EVERYWHERE. Me- if you blindfolded me, I’d take McDonalds coffee over Starbucks everytime!
If you haven’t realized, you’re paying for the ambiance and the wi-fi as well as fancy names
