  1. That is not likely to ever be offered. Generally appliance are produced that will SELL – since let’s be honest, it’s all about making a profit for the manufacturer.
Second issue is safety. A toaster is HOT. A toaster does NOT want to be exposed to liquids. Last time I checked, a coffee maker involves a considerable amount of water! It simply wouldn’t be a good marriage of these two devices.
Lastly, you could only use one at a time as both devices consume considerable wattage when in use – more than a typical circuit could handle at the same time.

  2. The problem with multi-purpose appliances, especially if their functions are not directly related, is when the appliance fails you lose many functions at once.
Not everyone who drinks coffee wants to have toast and vice versa.

  3. Probably because you would end up getting shocked. A toaster uses open heating elements that carry the electrical current which heats up to 1200 degrees Fahrenheit. If you touch the heating elements with metal or drop water onto them the toaster is going to short out. Also it takes a lot longer to make coffee than it does to make toast. I guess a person could try placing a slice …

  4. Who says the coffee maker has to be in the kitchen? People who work in offices keep theirs in the break room; sometimes they even have one in the office. Try keeping yours in another room. That will save space. By the way, since I often work in my home office, I keep a toaster in there, along with bagels, pop tarts, etc.

  5. They combined a toaster, coffee maker, and an egg frier, already. That was in the 90s. Setup to start at an alarm time in the morning, it used a razor blade to cut open two eggs, which it would cook only sunny side up, start the toast toasting (which would be stale), and kick off the brewing.
