  1. The are multiple reasons.
Kuerig machines make drinkable coffee. Not good coffee.
McDonald’s uses commercial drip coffee makers. The temperature controls and water filtration are different.
The water can be different between your home and McD’s.
Try making the coffee with bottled spring water and see the difference it makes vs tap water. Try with water from a Britta filter pitcher.

  2. It depends on the kind of bean you use and the way the coffee is brewed. If you use fresh grounded beans the flavour will be similar to the coffee served at McDonalds because the brewing process will be pretty much the same.
McDonald’s does have the several coffee options that are a bit harder to make at home (seasonal specials for example!)

  3. “good” is always relative.
Plenty of people do not call McD coffee good. It is based on taste – 100%, not on objective goodness.
    Consider this:
the machines they use are not what you are using
the quality or profiles of a coffee will always depend on many factors – like water temperature, water/coffee ratio, water quality, machine details, materials touching the coffee and the water, etc.
everything starts in the mind. Besides it being almost impossible to have the precise quality at home as you get from any shop, your mind will always play with you – you cannot fight it

  4. It’s taste to me not to be the same coffee as they use. I’ve tried all types of water. Bottled water, well water, makes no difference. It just not the same. I’ve only tryed the medium roast coffee, maybe I should try a different roast.

  5. Different water temperatures and volume will effect the taste of coffee when it is brewed. Companies set standards for the the water to achieve the best taste, this includes the amount of grounds used.

  6. The real question is ”why would you want to make McDonald’s coffee at home?” Like everything else at McDonalds it’s just crap.
