Silicone sealer will adhere a wood frame to a glass top. It has enough flex to allow the wood to expand and contract differently from the glass. I assume the frame has a threaded bracket to allow legs to be attached or detached as needed.
Don’t attach the wood to the glass. not a good idea.
You want to be able to remove the glass for cleaning or replacing if it gets chipped or cracked. you can just float the glass on top or have a wood rim or framework to hold the glass in place.
Visit a furniture store and look around to find something similar to what you want to see the best way of doing that. see if you can find (or make) a round frame the right size or have someone make it for you and attach that to a circle of good finished plywood. you may need a thick ring of wood below that to screw your leg…
Usually, I see stainless steel legs attached to a glass top, but they’re simply glued on. If it were me, I’d use a clear silicone adhesive. Here’s one brand, although I’m sure there are others Amazon.com: Permatex 80050 Clear RTV Silicone Adhesive Sealant, 3 oz.: Automotive

What you’re planning on doing will look terrible and I strongly recommend not doing it.
If you use glue, you’ll see it through the glass even though there’s a wood backing on the underside of the glass. It’ll look smudgy and haphazard and just plain wrong and goofy.
You have two options:
First, you could do what Ken Adney says in his answer. Attach legs directly to the glass with a clear adhesive. I recommend a two-part epoxy that dries clear. You will be able to find some in any hardware store for under $10.
Alternatively Get a large piece of wood and make 3″ larger than your piece of glass on all sides. Lay your piece of glass atop the wood, center it, and trace out the edges of the glass. Then use a router to cut out a groove that is equal to the thickness of the glass. This groove should be about 1/2″ to 3/4″ wide, and equal to the thickness of the glass (say about 1/8″).
Now you’ll want to cut straight through the wood right at the inside edge of the groove you just cut. This will leave a large opening in the center of your wood. You’ll have a 3″ perimeter that has a groove along its inside edge.
You can attach legs to the underside of this wooden perimeter and lay the piece of glass in the grooves so you now have a table with an inset piece of glass that is flush to the wood’s surface.
Check out some pictures below for some ideas of what I’m describing:
Take a large nail and hammer it carefully through the glass without breaking it..or a big screw will work as well….ok, ok, If you can do that I want to watch, otherwise you can try a good two-part epoxy although, personally I think gluing wood to glass directly is a bad idea with way to many ways for it to go wrong.
