Coffee is my life. I drink at least three cups a day, and if you know me personally, you’ll know that I’m always brewing some kind of coffee. If there’s one thing I can’t live without in this world, it’s coffee!

It’s like water for me – I need it to survive! So when the opportunity came up to try out Cherry Coffee, an organic light roast ground coffee with real cherries added into the mix, how could I say no?

1. What is Cherry Coffee?

Cherry Coffee is a premium, organic coffee made by blending real cherries with our 100% Colombian Arabica Light Roast. The result is a rich taste that’s sweet and tangy, yet still smooth and delicious.

I have never tried cherry flavored coffee before but I am always up for trying something new with flavor! So when my sample pack of Cherry Coffee arrived, I hurried to my kitchen and cooked up a pot.

The beans were soft and smelled very fragrant! I could tell they were going to make a warm tasty coffee that would probably be the best coffee I have ever tasted.

The ground coffee is a mixture of brown, black, and yellowish-white colored beans, not to mention the huge chunks of cherries that are mixed in with them. I wonder if they were cherry flavored coffee beans before getting blended up with the regular coffee beans?

I let my coffee maker do it’s thing and after a few minutes, I had myself a nice steaming cup of Cherry Coffee. The smell was wonderful! It was almost like a cherry cola smell, with a hint of coffee and chocolate.

The taste was even better than the smell! It had a very bold and robust flavor and I could taste hints of cherry and chocolate in every sip. For some reason though, I couldn’t really taste the coffee in my cup.

Maybe it’s because I’ve been drinking so much coffee lately that I have grown to really appreciate the taste of coffee, but when drinking Cherry Coffee, it was more like a strong flavored chocolate drink!

2. How does it taste?

I would definitely buy it again and I think it is good enough to drink on a daily basis. It has a very smooth texture and isn’t too strong or too weak. The cherry taste adds just the right amount of sweetness to it so that you don’t have to add sugar!

5. Where can I buy this product from and what does it cost ?

6. 4 ways to preserve products for future use?

1) Freeze it!

-If you are planning on using your Cherry Coffee within the next week or two, then I would recommend storing them in an airtight container either in the refrigerator or freezer. You can then just take out one cup of coffee at a time to enjoy!

2) Dehydrate

-Coffee is known to absorb moisture, so if you want to preserve your coffee longer than a week or two, then I would recommend drying them out. This can be done by spreading the Cherry Coffee beans on a baking sheet and leaving them out overnight.

3) Pour some into an empty spice jar

-This is usually how I store any extra coffee that I have. Just pour it into an empty spice jar and store in the pantry away from sunlight or moisture.

4) Make some toast!

-If you are still using your oven for cooking then why not use it to help preserve your coffee? Just spread out the beans on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil and bake at 350F for 20-30 minutes.

7. Will this product expire and how long can it be stored ?

Cherry Coffee is best consumed within 1 to 2 years after the date of purchase because it does not contain artificial preservatives that help to increase its longevity. After these two years, I noticed that it had more of a burned taste to it and the beans had started to lose some of their flavor.

FAQs:

How is this coffee different than the original Colombian blend?

Cherry Coffee is not an entirely new variety of Colombian blend, it is just a special addition made to enhance its taste. This means that Cherry Coffee does not have its own distinct flavor apart from the Colombian Light Roast beans.

Is there caffeine in this product and how much?

Cherry Coffee contains about 10mg of caffeine per ounce. This means that if you eat 1.5 ounces, then you will be consuming 15mg of caffeine which is equivalent to one cup of tea or half a can of coke!

Why does this coffee sometimes come pre-ground and how do I prevent the beans from going stale?

The Cherry Coffee beans sometimes come pre-ground to prevent them from going stale during the shipping process. This is done by adding a small amount of silica gel to the bag containing whole coffee beans, which absorbs moisture to keep your coffee fresh!

Are there any other flavors besides Cherry Coffee?

Right now, this product only comes in two different flavors: ‘ Colombian Light Roast’ and ‘ Colombian Dark Roast’. However, if it proves to be very successful then I’m sure that Mr. Bones will introduce more coffee flavors in the future!

Conclusion:

All in all, Cherry Coffee is a very tasty addition to a coffee lover’s pantry! It provides an interesting twist on the original Colombian flavor and I would definitely be interested in trying its Brazilian counterpart as well. So if you have been looking for new ways to try some premium beans, then why not give it a shot?
