    It’s cheaper than cream and sugar. It has much less fat than cream.
    And finally, sweetened condensed milk taste better than cream and sugre.

    Seriously, there is no substitute for them that is cheap and healthy.
    If you love coffee with cream and sugar, have it, just as an occasional treat, not several times a day.

Standard cream and sugar is way more easier to produce using natural readily available raw materials across the glob. substituting them means research, marketing, approval, acceptance, more research on side effects etc. commercializing the process, dealing with conspiracy theories with dairy and sugarcane farmers etc….. a very difficult and expensive process. just like electric cars are having an issue with their uptake.
    So far we have some milk developed in the lab that got no lactose and has a far less carbon footprint and does not involve cows. But it will take a lot of years to have it on the shelves
    So they cant be a cheaper solution.
