It is a good super fuel; it helps to burn fat. Slowly work up to a teaspoon because some have become nauseated. It is used for keto diets and can be worth the money because it does really help with your carbohydrate intake. Look for pure C8 MCT oil or called ‘caprylic acid’
Well the health benefits of bullet whatever coffee are debatable, as it’s high in saturated fat and low in actual food. But assuming this is what you have decided to do and you believe it will help you, there is a difference.
MCT oil is extracted from coconut oil. Natural coconut oil is about half MCT. The M stands for medium, which means that the fats in MCT oil are shorter and less complex. When you eat normal fat the majority of it is stored in your fat cells, then it’s used when you exercise like any other body fat. But MCT oil is quickly broken down into a form your body can use without being stored in your fat cells.
Because MCT is fat, it is appropriate for a low carb diet. The theory is that MCT can provide quick energy like carbs do, and the science backs this up. But in practice you can only eat so much of it before it makes you vomit, and real life studies haven’t shown it to do much.
The idea of bulletproof-like coffee is that it allows you to skip meals and still not collapse from hunger. If whatever you are using now is getting you through to lunch (or wherever you need to go), I’d say skip it. If you’re finding yourself weak and tired, you could try it, but most of the effect will probably be placebo.
