  1. How would you react if some random stranger came up to you and said “by the way I am (insert name) I’ve known you before in another reality, we were boyfriend/girlfriend and you buddy were my best friend, don’t you remember?” Probably would react the same way that Ned and MJ would have reacted if Peter came right out and said that, not only would they be utterly confused but would think that he is a little bit on the crazy side. Doesn’t mean he couldn’t win back their friendship and love but it’s back to square one as it were, with a clean slate. They are as of this moment pretty much effectively gone from his life in the way that they were before but that doesn’t leave it without hope, outside of the emotional heartbreak for Peter knowing two people he cares about no longer remember their lives with him

  2. For the same reason he didn’t introduce himself as Spider-Man when he first met them. Their relationships were organic & worked because they had genuine common interests & affection for each other. Just walking into a coffee shop & telling some people that you got a wizard to wipe their memories (especially when the wizard can’t verify this) isn’t going to make any sense.

  3. There was an important detail in the ending scene that I believe most people missed.

While Peter was talking with MJ about MIT and all that, MJ pushed her hair back, revealing a band aid on her forehead. Peter was obviously worried, since she got this wound during the final battle with the 3 Spider-Men, so he asked if she’s ok, and MJ simply replied “it doesn’t hurt anymore”.
Now, what was the implication of this scene?
Peter was reminded that MJ was injured because she was trying to help Peter’s Spider-Man . Now that she doesn’t know Peter, and hence Spider-Man, she won’t be hurt again.
Trying to reintroduce MJ and Ned to himself and thus Spider-Man is awkward and difficult, obviously, but if Peter succeeded, it would bring them back to the world of superheroes and super villains, which means more danger. Peter isn’t willing to endanger his loved ones again.
In a way, this echoes with the “this is my gift, my curse” ending scene and the cafe kidnapping scene of Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man 1 and 2, respectively.

Peter: I will always be your friend.
MJ: only a friend, Peter Parker?
Peter: that’s all I have to give.

Peter: I thought I could be there for you, Mary Jane. But I can’t. My mind was playing tricks too.
MJ: do you love me? Or not?
    Peter: I… don’t.
    MJ: you don’t.
Both Peters were right in front of the girls they loved the most, but if they were to start a relationship, it would drag them into the dangerous world of crime fighting. To protect their MJs, both Peters decided to let their love remain hidden.
Moreover, just like Tony Stark, Tom’s Spider-Man often makes decisions that lead to more dangers. He entrusted Mysterio with the EDITH glasses. He tried to “fix” the villains of other universes so that they didn’t have to die, and although he succeeded in the end, it led to the death of Aunt May, along with more chaos and destruction. Bringing MJ and Ned back to the life of Spider-Man would be a particularly risky move for Tom’s Peter.
In conclusion, to protect them from any potential harm, Peter decided to not remind MJ and Ned of their previous relationships.

Let’s see if they’ll get back together in future movies.

  4. How he’s going to do that?. Simply remind them that he’s Spiderman?. He never explicitly on his own intention told anyone that he’s Spiderman before, and he was trying so hard to keep it that way. Plus he might have learned something from other Peter Parkers, making him just like them, inspired by their similar stories.
In first two movies we were deceived to think that we’ll see different version of Peter Parker. Honestly I don’t like it if they decide to go down that way too further. I’m glad they didn’t but yet I’m not emotionally ready to see Peter end up like how they’ve done to him, just like how I was not ready with the end of the Amazing Spiderman before.
Peter is taking GED test, which means he’s trying harder way to be with his girl and his friend again. But it would not gonna be easy for him. Those two first films make it look like a piece of cake for him but we’ve learned that before from two first series.
I expect MJ will meet someone else, perhaps her own fellow MIT partner Ned. I think Ned will join Oscorp and eventually being inspired by something leading him to an opportunity to become the character he said he don’t want to be. I think Flash will turns into his competitor at Oscorp. I don’t know what to expect about MCU’s Gwen Stacy, Eddie Brock, Harry Osborne, or John Jameson’s astronaut son. But I believe John didn’t die from spaceship crash and Eddie Brock is much younger.
And for Peter, it’s Black Spidey time.

  5. He realized it was for his own good NOT to remind MJ and Ned that he was their friend- since that is what led up to them having to know he was Spider-Man. It was just much better for them to NOT know at all- as they were able to go to college and live out their lives without any trouble.
When someone is aware of the consequences involved in letting their friends in on secrets- then it is just “best” NOT to let that risk happen when it can be avoided. Peter Parker needed to continue being Spider-Man to protect New York City from crime- and he could do it without saying anything to Ned and MJ.

  6. It’s indeed a good question and the answer of Logan Lee is really apt. Peter left MJ so that she will stay safe as he knows with him she will always be there to help her risking her own life. Same goes for Ned.

There are few more thing here not with Peter but from eyes of marvel.
Setup for Real spiderman. Yes, and why I refer to it as real is because till now spiderman was a high-school kid worked with Iron man or fury or Dr. Strange, but now the story of his real struggle begins. He is now alone in a new university, with iron man gone he is certainly down on money. Now clearly the story points to the part when Peter starts working at The Daily Bugle to pay his rent and stuff.
It’s now time to introduce new characters such as Harry Osborne and Gwen, his new love interest both of them meet Peter in college.

So it was necessary for MCU to move on from MJ to setup a new storyline for building up the character of a grown up and matured Peter and to introduce more comic accurate events.

  7. He realised that her knowing Spider-Man was a danger for her – the band-aid.
Her and Ned seemed to be a couple now, and they would just think he was crazy

  8. I think he did not introduce herself again, because he did not want him to be in danger if he still Spider-Man in the when Doctor Strange was about to do this spell E realized how many people he cared about and didn’t want her brains to be washed and that he doesn’t want to have a bunch of people that he cares about not remember him or be in danger because of them knowing him and not be able to do things and go to school and die because they even know him or is there interferes with his Spider-Man job .
