  1. Thanks, Shane E. I did punch a few buttons on my car’s Sirius set-up. If you hit TEXT twice, the second time your radio screen will display the artist and song for Sirius stations.

  2. How are you listening to your Sirius Satellite Radio? Because most of the devices I’ve seen clearly display the artist and song on the screen.
If it’s not, try using the Shazam and Sound Cloud appls while a song is playing. It will identify the artist and title for you.

  3. My unit (which was the basic model) always displayed that information. If you are listening to Sirius at work or somewhere away from that display you might try a phone ap like sound hound or just google the lyrics.

  4. Most modern automobiles identify both for all channels of Sirius & XM. Their website has the playlists, I believe….note the time you hear a song and look it up, then or later. What I don’t know is whether the radios they offer are equipped with the song ID.

  5. If your car radio doesn’t display the artist and title, you can always ask Siri: “What song is playing?” on your iPhone or iPad (any current iOS operating system) and she will listen and answer. You can also ask her to rate the song. Try it!

  6. Just about any Sirius receiver you buy will display the title and artist of every song you’re listening to along with the name of the channel. If it’s News/Talk programming, it will display the name of the show you’re listening to, and in most cases, the number to call in. It’s the same if you’re listening to Sirius on the Web. The interface will display title, artist, and channel to which you’re listening.

  7. Get the Shazam app. It’s free, easy to use and very good. It just listens to the song playing for a few seconds and then tells you the artist and name of the song.
