  1. Yes, there is. Some is very recent and some has been around for a very long time. When I was first diagnosed with breast cancer 23 years ago, my oncologist told me there were health benefits to having caffeine as long as it isn’t consumed excessively. I love lattes so I was happy to hear that. Recently, Harvard Medical School and the British Medical Journal both published benefits of caffeine. It is helpful against
    liver, uterine cancer (and perhaps colon cancer as well)
    cirrhosis
    dementia
    type 2 diabetes (which accounts for more than 90% of all diabetes)
    gout
    death (as noted above, a number of studies have linked coffee consumption with living longer).
    cardiovascular disease (including heart attack, heart failure, and stroke
    Parkinson’s disease

  2. Coffee comes from the ground or soil so what sort of harm to your health that you are looking for? And it’s been available for quite a few centuries, it’s passed the test as far as I’m concerned. At most you can say is that it’s a stimulant to the brain. You can use it as you wish just don’t overuse.
