at your home? sure… at a place of employment where you are selling this to others? absolutely not. The broader question here is… why? Making a batch of cold brew coffee to hang on to for a few days or even a week will serve you well as long as its stored correctly. It’s simple, inexpensive, and delicious. Espresso is for drinking now.
Of course it is possible.
However – coffee / espresso has a bunch of volatile compounds in it that participate in the flavor you experience. Age doesn’t make them better – as they disintegrate, the taste starts to go flat (lack of character / nuance / etc etc).
So – you can slow this process (in the fridge), but you can’t stop it. The net-net is you will still need to decide how long you want to store it based on how much you like / dislike the taste.
Of course it’s possible.,
But like so much done these days in the name of coffee, it is a diabolical travesty of everything that makes good coffee.
If you drink mass-market commercial coffee, you might as well. It’s already stale.
If you enjoy fresh coffee, recently roasted, and ground just before use… the very idea is anathema
It’s possible, but won’t keep very long unless you freeze it (into cubes) which would be a good way to chill hot coffee without dilluting it. I would also suggest you use cold-brewed coffee concentrate (home-brewed or store-bought), which will keep for weeks in your refrigerator. When you pour the concentrate over ice, it will dillute it down to strong cold regular strength coffee. Check on line for many choices in cold-brew recipes you can easily make at home.
