Without cream and sugar, the calories in coffee are negligible. It’s pretty close to drinking water, calorie-wise. It’s not burning fat per se, but it is also not contributing to any excess calories you may consume which, of course, would be detrimental to your weight loss goal. Stick to what you’re doing. Sounds like you’ll be fine.
Totally depends on the coffee you go for. If we are talking about a latte/iced latte with skinny milk, then you will be fine. Same with any filter coffee, and cappucinos. However, if we are talking about coffee frappucinos and any other type of said blended beverages, some of those have upwards of 600 calories in a large size. Ditto things like Chai and any large amount of the flavoured syrups, which are all choc full of sugar.
So if you are going for a normal coffee, you should be fine, but if any of the others is your beverage of choice, you may want to quickly rethink it.
