  1. I know so many people trying to do this…it can be a good idea if you are sure you can execute it better than your competitors. Perhaps you worked in the beverage industry before, have an incredible recipee, designs, branding expertise or hook ups with distribution.
    Chances are you will…

  2. It very much depends on the market you are considering
I live in Wellington , New Zealand. Sometimes referred to as “The Espresso Capital of the World”
Wellington has for about 40 years had a very strong coffee roasting and cafe industry
Have a look at this – Wellington – Coffee Capital | Wellington, New Zealand
To put it in context – Starbucks tried to establish themselves here but they had no chance. Starbucks is simply miles away from having the quality to deliver in this market
In recent years some of the espresso cafes have included Nitro Cold brew in their offering
Also I think there are some Nitro only offerings – but I know very little about them
Here is. Bike based mobile one – Welcome
Arguably – because the Wellington customers already have a strong appetite for good coffee they are already “warmed up” to alternative good quality coffee offerings
Whereas if your market thinks that the likes of Starbucks is as good as it gets – they could be a harder nut to crack
Having said that – If Starbucks is you strongest competition it may not be difficult to prove you are better.
It is very easy to actually be better that Starbucks – proving it to your market is more difficult

  3. Personally I don’t think very much about boutique coffee crap. And that’s what Nitro cold brew is. They have the bar set up, try to make it look a real bar, charge stupid prices for gimmicks. I’ve worked at Starbucks 5 1/2 yrs. Coffee Bean 7yrs. and all that foo foo crap is really stupid.
