  1. Yes. It isn’t warm milk that helps you sleep per se. It is warm it has a filling affect due to the protien and soime sugar which is a very pleasant combination. Drinking anything with caffiene before bed is a bad idea if you are trying to rest unless you are someone like myself and can drink caffiene at any timne of the day and go to sleep. Some people just have that ability, but most don’t. SO yes its nonsense. Sweet dreams!

  2. Whether sleep or awake latte is a no sense drink. Studies have revealed espresso or latte coffee loses all the benefits provided by cofffee.

  3. If you drink a latte just to get caffeine, then you are missing the point. Just take a pill. If you drink because it tastes good, then you are on the right road.

  4. Along with what User-10804422350750609375 said, coffee is directly a stimulant by caffeine, whereas milk helps a person sleep by raising insulin levels, and therefore stimulating a hormone IGF that makes you feel sleepy.
Caffeine works psycho-actively. Milk works hormonally.
Although you don’t need to drink milk to feel sleepy. The same effect can be experienced when eating a large meal, or by a “sugar crash”.
But you have to consider. How much milk are you putting in your coffee? Probably not much.
And you should notice that a small meal is more energizing, but a large meals is sedating. As they say, the dose makes the poison. Although in this case, is it the “dose makes the sedation”?
So if you drink coffee, and add a bit of milk, you will experience more energy than without any milk.
