  1. Have you asked Starbucks ?? That would be faster and more accurate than what you’re going to read here, which is readers like me berating you.
But let’s say, for the sake of argument, that you have no idea how this works.
Well, Starbucks sells “travelers,” 96-ounce “boxes” of coffee for $12.95. That’s three quarts. The price may vary a bit from one market to the next, but here’s the basics:

  2. Every store really does price it differently and you should go in or call and ask. Someone else gave an answer of $15.95 pre-tax, but my store charges about $18 (I don’t remember exactly what it is. I work closing crew and we hardly ever get traveler orders.
It’s called a Traveler, and it may not be exactly 1 gallon, but it’s pretty darn close. You get the coffee, 12 short cups and lids, a cup of cream, and a bag of various sweeteners with stir sticks. It’s a pretty nice deal.
Even if you just want one, we have to brew a full batch of drip coffee to make it, which takes 5–7 minutes to brew, but it really takes about 10–15 due to everything involved, plus dealing with the chaos of needing to still operate everything else. So, if you’re getting more than 1 traveler, then expect to wait or come back.

  5. Seems like my company bought 5 gallons of coffee once to serve a bunch of customers and it was $125 delivered with cups, creamer, and sugar. You could also call them I suppose!

  6. We don’t sell coffee by gallons but we sell a bulk brew that serves about ten people. It’s about 15 bucks but prices vary on location as with any other business.

  7. Price would vary, depending on location. I’m from UK for example and prices are different from the US. Also every state would have their own taxes and etc.
    Thank You

  9. Starbucks doesn’t sell coffee by the gallon. The largest amount you can get in one container is 96 ounces, served in a “traveler” (carboard container with spout). It comes with sugars, cream, cups & lids, and stir sticks. A gallon is 128 oz. You could buy a traveler and 2 grande coffees and be just 2 oz. short of a gallon. At my store (Colorado Springs), a traveler costs $15.95. Each grande coffee is $2.44 with tax.

  10. Roughly $15.95 before tax.
Call your local Starbucks to verify the price in your area. They can tell you how much it will cost after tax, too.
If your event is large, you’ll likely need multiple travelers especially if you expect more than eight people at your event.
If you buy multiple travelers you may be required to go into the store and purchase the travelers in advance. They may accept orders by phone if you only need one or two.
If you intend to purchase the travelers immediately before the event without informing the store in advance, expect long wait times, especially if you’re ordering more than two.

  11. Honestly it depends on where you live. A traveler say in Kansas is probably not going to cost the same amount as one in say, California. It’s probably best to call the Starbucks you would intend to buy a traveler from and ask them how much it cost.
