  1. From Caffeine: How much is too much? (Mayo Clinic)
“Up to 400 milligrams (mg) of caffeine a day appears to be safe for most healthy adults. That’s roughly the amount of caffeine in four cups of brewed coffee, 10 cans of cola or two “energy shot” drinks. Keep in mind that the actual caffeine content in beverages varies widely, especially among energy drinks.”
Assuming a “cup” is about 8 ounces….each cup would be about 100 mg of caffeine, or 12.5 mg per oz. 24 ounces would be about 300 mg…nearing the 400 mg. limit. The can of Red Bull has about 111 mg, putting you over the limit. The two “5 Hour Energy” shots are reportedly about 215 each….if my math is right, you’ve consumed about 1552 mg. – nearly four times the 400 mg. daily limit noted earlier!
It looks troublesome, especially if you’re doing this day after day. What issues you may have that would lead you to consume that much caffeine, I’m not qualified to diagnose. Please see your doctor.

  2. It sure looks like you’re having trouble staying awake during the day, since you consume so much caffeine. Perhaps the underlying cause is poor sleep? The question doesn’t say, but is this a typical amount of caffeine in a day for you?
I recommend trying to limit your caffeinated beverage consumption after, say 4pm. Meaning that you don’t drink anything with caffeine after 4pm. Then make sure you get to bed at a reasonable hour such that you get 8 hours of sleep. Then see if you either still need or want that much caffeine or if you only need one cup of coffee in the morning.

  3. Well, if you do this sort of thing every day, I would imagine a heart attack is in your future. I believe the average amount of caffeine for someone to feel an effect is 300–400mg, with what you describe you’d be getting about double that, maybe 700–800mg of caffeine wich is surely to cause some sort of problem for the heart, not to mention all of the sugar they put in those type of drinks; I’d suggest a change of habit, hope this helps!
