Lots and lots – a few hundred.
I have a bag of Indonesia Java Government Estate coffee, green beans. I weighed out 25 grams, and this is it:
There was one additional bean which I dropped. If you want to count them, knock yourself out.
And yes, these are “green” beans. Unroasted beans are often green, but they can also be bluish and brown. These are most definitely brown.
It depends on the variety of coffee bean.
There are small beans and there are medium and large beans.
Because different coffee beans have different densities it is not possible to determine how many green coffee beans will measure 25 grams unless you know where the coffee was grown. High altitude coffees (grown above 4000’) will be more dense than lower grown coffee beans which means there will be less beans in 25 grams compared to a low altitude grown coffee bean.
Hope that helps.
