  1. Im an OTR driver and when driving at night it takes about 5 minutes or so for it to start having an impact. Something I’ve noticed is immediately after taking it I become light sensitive which is how I know it’s beginning to kick in .hope that answers your question .

  2. Good question! Because you drink it the effects can take up to 30 minutes to feel anything. I’ve noticed that the synthetic caffeine in 5-hr seems to be a bit watered down too, and if you just had a big meal it could take longer or not work at all.
A much better solution is chewing your energy, and in the case of Punch’d Energy’s all natural Caffeine Gummies, you are actually chewing green coffee bean caffeine. Super tasty, real fruit gummies with the power of raw green coffee that dissolves in your mouth. That’s powerful AND the fastest way to power up. I’ve felt the effects of Punch’d within a couple of minutes, even after a giant lunch or a big dinner. Try ’em yourself! Amazon has them, and they’re also available on the Punch’d Energy website.

  3. Depending on a fed vs. fasted state (with the former potentially mitigating some of the effects of caffeine), you can expect to feel the brunt of the stimulation to occur within 45 minutes (99% of caffeine is absorbed within this time period).
Depending on your tolerance, you can expect either: a huge hit, a moderate hit or a negligible hit as 5 hour energy drinks typically only contain as much caffeine as a standard coffee.
The B-Vitamins will do little to contribute to energy levels despite the marketing.

  4. It takes about 7 to 10 minutes before I start to feel the effects. If you want the caffeine to keep you going longer, eat a protein bar soon after taking it.

  5. Depends on your digestion and metabolism, and what you may already have eaten; and how sensitive (or immune) you are to it’s active ingredients. If you are a heavy coffee (or soda) drinker, it’s burst of 150mg of caffeine (similar, it I remember correctly, to a can of Mountain Dew) may not be that beneficial.

From my own personal experience with this and most caffeine based substances I find 12-20 minutes to be the typical time.
