    If your body is feeling dehydrated you may not feel the need to pee for hours after drinking a glass of water. Like when you are out in the summer heat and feeling dehydrated, a glass or two of water will quench your thirst but may not make you go to pee for hours.
    When you are well hyderated and you drink water in excess of the requirements of your body, the kidneys will efficiently throw the water out forming more urine than usual, and this may happen after drinking just one glass of water. You may have to rush to pee after ten or fifteen minutes.

  6. I suffer from Interstitial Cystitis and most days my bladder feels full even if it is empty. However, I can notice a big change in my urge to urinate 20 minutes after drinking a 6 ounce glass of water.
    But keep in mind, my bladder is typically inflammed and hard.

    ‘How long after drinking a cup of water, the need rises’ will depend upon the season .. during winter – it will take some time less than the time taken during summer. During the rainy season – the time taken will be in between the two.
