  1. I remember having perked coffee with milk and sugar added and not particularly liking it, mostly because it was bad coffee and overcooked compared to how coffee is made now. I’ve had Arabic coffee as an adult and enjoyed it black (looks more like tea than coffee), Mexican coffee and enjoyed it (coffee power is mixed with hot water and the grounds allowed to settle to the bottom), cold brew coffee and really enjoyed it (my current favorite), among many others.
I do remember the caffeine hit. It was subtle and I mostly felt more awake than normal. That has lessened over the years as my body got used to the jolt. I come back for the taste more than the effect.

  2. I remember my first taste of coffee. My mother made coffee in a saucepan, which meant a few coffee grounds (big, coarse ones) always found their way into each cup. so they always left a little coffee in the bottom. One day I got curious to see what they were drinking, and tasted that 1/2″ of coffee.
I took a cautious sip. It was a revelation. I could taste the milk, and the sugar,, and what seemed like around 25 complex, dark flavours totally unlike anything I had ever tasted before. Up until that point, I had only encountered things that tasted “nice.”
I really liked it, so I drained the cup and got a mouthful of coffee grounds. That wasn’t so good, in fact it was terrible, but I was already hooked.
I continued to scavenge the dregs of coffee for a while, but eventually I summoned up the courage to ask if I could have my own cup of coffee. My mother looked surprised, but said yes.
I just really liked the taste. It had nothing to do with caffeine (I knew nothing about caffeine), any kind of buzz, just the taste. I was two at the time. I’ve been drinking it ever since.

  3. It tasted like hot dirty sock water. I was like 13. Gross.
Still not a fan of regular coffee. Mochas are good. Regular coffee is vile.

  4. Consuming coffee for the first time can result in different reactions and feeling for different people.
When I first consumed my first cup of coffee I felt very energetic after about a half hour of drinking it. I also felt a warm feeling throughout my body which is cause by the caffeine.
As for the taste, I actually enjoyed it. I drank black coffee for a couple years and the started adding 2 cream. Which made that coffee even better.

  5. Like drinking something gross unless you get a particularly tasty creamer. I don’t think it gave me any type of feeling. Maybe if you are tired it will wake you up but it isn’t very exciting.
