  1. For me, there’s simply no comparison.
    What I mean by that is that I consider Starbucks coffee to be far superior to Kirkland (and, I do know that Costco does have some Kirkland coffee that comes from Starbucks, although it doesn’t taste the same).
    I’m also referring to the way Starbucks prepares my latte drinks, since I don’t drink coffee any other way. My husband does drink his espresso that he makes at home. For this, I mostly buy dark roast beans from Peet’s, as he seems to like those better than the beans at Starbucks.
    He will drink the Kirkland brand of dark roast from time to time, but he prefers smaller, fresher bags we purchase close to time of use. Many times, the bags sold in Costco have been around for a while. Bigger is not always better, even if the price is cheaper.
    You get what you pay for, in my view. And this especially holds true for coffee.
