  1. I generally place a spoon into the sugar container, left out my required amount, place it into the iced coffee and stir. If you find it does not dissolve easily, make yourself a sugar syrup – cup water to cup of sugar, heat to help dissolve. Have this on hand to sweeten when you need it.

  2. You dissolve the sugar in water first, to make a ‘simple syrup’. This is how they do it in coffee shops. Sugar won’t dissolve as easily in very cold water, but once you dissolve it in warm water, it will stay in solution.
There’s a ‘perfect’ ratio of sugar to water, which I’d have to look up. It’s not that important, though.

  3. The easiest way to do this without worrying about the sugar not dissolving is using simple syrup. You can make this quickly at the time or in advance or buy a bottle. My favourite ratio is 2:1, sugar to water and you wouldn’t need much to sweeten your coffee. It can also be used for all sorts of cocktails, mocktails, recipes and stores for several months in the fridge.
This is how Starbucks and other coffee shops add sweet to their drinks and if you make it at home, it is simple and without preservatives.

  4. Add the sugar to the hot coffee concentrate and then add ice which will melt creating perfect iced coffee. You can then pour it over a glass of ice.

  5. Use simple logistics, it sounds like you are trying to make “Iced Coffee” yourself. So maybe brew hot coffee, add sugar, cream, and whatever else you want. Then cool it to your liking. Because sugar and whatever else dissolves better with heat.
