I’ve tried Lifeboost Coffee before! It’s a staple for me actually.
Lifeboost coffee is one of my favorites, if not my favorite brand of coffee when it comes to their standard roasts (I’m not too big a fan of the flavored stuff, so I haven’t tried many of theirs, but that’s more down to personal taste than anything — since my daughter loves their flavored coffee!)
As for what I think. Well, hmm. How to put it?
I’m assuming that you’re somewhat familiar with the brand already? If not, then one of the first things I should discuss is what makes their coffee so special:
To quote their company tagline, which is displayed on the Lifeboost website, Lifeboost Coffee is the “Healthiest and Tastiest cup of coffee possible.”
This is made true by their devotion to their ethical growing practices. Also, the founder of the brand, Dr. Charles Livingstone, is very particular about where they source their coffee beans from and how it is grown.
This means that Lifeboost as a brand is 100% dedicated to producing the best possible coffee that money can buy — hence the premium pricing, which I think is more than fair! Since all Lifeboost Coffee products are:
Free of harmful chemicals (no pesticides, herbicides, other toxic substances, or any other harmful ingredients are used throughout the growing process.)
Their coffee cherries are shade-grown. Specifically, they’re grown under guava trees to control spread and growing time to maximize flavor and nutritional value.
The coffee cherries are also raised 5,700 feet above sea level in a farm in the Central American Republic of Nicaragua to push that flavor profile even further. (The beans are and-picked from this single source , which ensures that the quality is constant!)
The beans are low in acid! Most coffee beans available in stores have a PH level of 4.85 or lower — which can cause high-acid-related problems, stomach pain, and tooth decay! Lifeboost Coffee, meanwhile (and this includes their light roast — which is notoriously high in acid) is tested at 6 or higher — making it incredibly low in acid!
They’re also ethically produced under Fair Trade certifications (which I found especially uplifting, as it means that the coffee cherry farmers that work to produce Lifeboost beans are being paid what they deserve for their produce!)
Honestly, I could probably go on some more. There’s a lot to say about Lifeboost Coffee!
I’ve made myself a bit of an expert on the brand over the past year because I love their product so much. But well, I should wrap this up! (If you want to learn more about their growing or general production process though, you can always check out the Lifeboost Coffee website , they have all the information there!)
So! Now that we’ve gone over Lifeboost’s general profile, I’ll go over my Lifeboost Coffee Bean Recommendations to finish us off!
All Lifeboost Coffee comes in 12 oz bags (or burlap bags if you’re feeling particularly quirky). You can choose the kind of coffee you want (between whole bean or ground), usually. I prefer mine whole bean, of course, to maximize the overall freshness of the flavor and experience.
My two personal favorite Lifeboost Coffee Beans are:
Lifeboost Light Roast Coffee Bean 12oz : I have a tendency of avoiding light roasts from other brands. They’re just no good for the stomach, and my teeth have always been sensitive. The general low acidity of Lifeboost beans allows me to indulge in that without all the issues though, which is great! Highly recommend! (I’ve even had several friends hooked on it after a while. So, I have it on good authority that it’s awesome!)
Lifeboost Medium Roast Coffee Bean 12 oz : This is my go-to on the regular day-to-day. The flavor on this is just exquisite! (It’s very earthy! Kind of has a hint of an ashy kick hiding in there too, but that strong earthy flavor is what really pulls me in.)
[Honorable Mention! My daughter’s favorite flavored coffee bean of Lifeboost is their Lifeboost Pumpkin Spice Coffee . Again, flavored coffee is not usually my thing, but she claims that it’s the “bestest-ever!” Ha! I’ve at least tried it a couple of times here and there. The flavor is very rich, which is nice, and I do appreciate that it’s made of all-natural flavors!]
OK! That’s about all I’ve got! Don’t be afraid to DM me if you have any further questions. I’m always eager to talk coffee with new people. 😀
