  1. I’m a pretty hard core coffee addict. I don’t drink a lot – one good, strong cup a day is pretty much it, maybe two. A day without coffee results in a pretty intense headache and by early afternoon, lack of energy, pretty much useless intellectually by middle afternoon, and pretty laconic the rest of the day, with me wondering what’s wrong with me. That is, until I remember I hadn’t had any coffee that day.

  2. Ahoy!
I don’t think anyone can really define an universal answer, but from the people around that say they are “dependent” on their coffee, the most common answer seems to be: headaches.
I drink coffee because I enjoy it, not because I need it. However, for those who don’t have their daily dose, they might have trouble waking up; get headaches, trouble focusing, etc.

  3. I have been a voracious coffee drinker ! I almost did 6 cups a day. It stopped working on my body due to the caffeine tolerance my body had developed. I decided to take a break.
I have been on a coffee sabatical for 40 days now. The early days (atleast the mornings) were a little tough but after 3–4 days it became normal. I don’t crave for coffee like I used to now. I don’t feel groggy or fatigued in any way. Quitting coffee has not affected me physically or mentally.
But boy o boy, I miss the euphoria, the aroma, the dark complex taste and the energy.
