Yes, I get them all the time.
You should know that many Starbucks will stop brewing their dark roasts around 11 a.m. or so. The ‘super busy’ stores may or may not have that same cutoff, if they even have one at all.
I know if I ask, they’ll do a dark roast “pour over” for me after that cutoff, but I feel guilty putting them through that much work and not paying them anything (I get free drip coffee refills on my Starbucks Rewards Card).
You should also note that, technically speaking, refills are only for those who has consumed their beverage on the premises and have not left the store. So, it stands to reason that if you order a dark roast the first time around (i.e. the drink you paid for), the dark roast will also be available when it’s time for your refill.
