  1. It’s a complicated question, and not surprisingly the answers are all over the place. But the short answer is that, if prepared as directed, instant coffee has just a bit more than 1/2 the caffeine of regular brewed coffee. During the manufacturing process some flavors, and a lot of the caffeine, are lost. It’s one reason that instant coffee tastes so, er, interesting (I would say terrible or nasty, but that is of course just my opinion).
Now, this all depends on how you make it. A lot of people use more than the recommended amount of instant coffee, so it’s stronger, and has more caffeine than the recommended 1 tsp per cup amount. But generally, all things being equal and prepared properly, instant coffee has less caffeine than brewed coffee.

  2. It is not related to brew type, directly related to bean type. Some instant coffee producers blend arabica beans with low quality robusta beans. Usually name these ones as “classic” And 100% arabica ones as gold. Robusta known as low quality not tasty coffee bean, but it contains more caffeine than arabica beans.
