  1. No. It’s not. Coffee contains caffeine. Caffeine is metabolised by cytochrome p450 ensymes in liver. These ensymes process matabolism of may drugs like caffeine on a daily basis.
    So unless you have existing liver issues, you do not have to worry about coffee hurting your liver.

But the good news for us old Navy Chiefs that mainline coffee, a paper published by the Journal of Clinical and Experimental Hepatology stated that “Coffee is beneficial for health in general and particularly for patients with liver disease. Consumption of coffee ≥2 cups/day protects against progression of almost all forms of liver disease.”
