Nooo!!! Never…the books are supposed to be kept safely on the bookshelves.. should never be read during super or lunch or breakfast or with coffe..never do this. What if your book gets a stain ..what if coffee fell on it?..no too much risk..I would never trust myself with such hot things ..books are so vulnet..must be given utmost care!!
Yes, and several in bookcases and on other surfaces including on top of full bookcases! Yea, I do have a lot of books, I read every day and also keep buying them.
Yes! I actually created a reading corner with a Barcelona table and an Egg chair. so yes, there’s a couple of books on it. So if you’re thinking of putting some books on your coffee table is a good idea, definitely, do it! It will invite you and remind you to take some reading and they also look very good. You can also place other elements on it, is up to you. For example, in my case I try to decorate it according to the season, if it is Christmas, I put a little tree and some Christmas elements.

Yup…coffee with books is a perfect combination…
I have books on every available surface, including the floor. My mother would be horrified except she was a book-lover too.

Of course I have books on my coffee table. Also on multiple bookshelves (upstairs and downstairs), as well as stacked on the floor. (Wise Japanese call stacks of unread books tsundoku .)
Oddly, the one thing never on my coffee table is coffee.
Q: Do you have books on your coffee table?
Yes, it has several – in fact, there are currently more than usual, because I am engaged in re-ordering and re-arranging my bookcases, so the coffee table has ‘caught’ a couple of stacks of books which are so far unclassified – that is, I don’t know exactly where I want to put them, so they are on the coffee table until I decide where they should go – or even if I want to hang onto them.
However, the coffee table is usually in possession of two or three ‘nice’ books or a short stack of recent magazines, even though we haven’t really had any guests for the past year for some reason (*covid*).
At our house, any flat surface tends to accumulate ‘things’, and I’d rather the coffee table had some books and magazines rather than some of the other ‘things’ which counters, tables and similar flat surfaces accumulate in our house.
The coffee table serves a variety of purposes for me. I’ll place books on the coffee table along with periodicals, beverages, and even food. The coffee table is in the center of the living room, and occasionally my kids even use it to play games.
At the present time I do not have a coffee table.
Yes — three books on top, and 3 stacks of books on the shelf underneath the table top. The stacks are my collection of books on salmon fishing/canning in the PNW. The books on the top vary.

Yes, I have a couple of coffee tables, one of which has some real “coffee table books” on it.
I have books on most available surfaces, though I do try to keep them off the food preparation areas.
I have books every damn direction I turn.
This is not a humblebrag, it’s a confession of a compulsion.
I don’t actually have a traditional “coffeetable” in my house at present. But if I did, it would actually be the one space I would keep book-free.
Yes, because we’ve ran out of space on all our bookshelves!
I don’t even have a coffee table, so no.
I decided to keep very few physical copies of books and mostly stick to E-Books. My physical copies are put up safe from sticky toddler hands.
