  1. No. You can make very strong coffee, with sugar added if you want, in a French press, and the result may be kind of similar, but it won’t be Turkish.

  2. Turkish tea special with some features.
    1-It is blazing hot. (French press process makes coffee warmer)
    2-It has a layer of bubbles on top so you wouldnt get any burn from the first sip. (That is not possible with Fp)
    3-It has the bottom layer of coffee which is known as “Telve” in Turkish. (Basically fp is a filter so you will not have telve)
    4 – most probably grain size of coffee used for fp and Turkish coffee is different.
    So you will have a big NO.

  3. Theoretically yes, practically it’s not possible.
    To produce an authentic Turkish coffee, you must boil the coffee two times before serving it. Because it is not possible to make coffee boil in a French press, you can not make a Turkish coffee in it.

  4. No, you can’t. Not even if you use super fine coffee grounds like the one Turkish style coffee requires. You need to bring the brew to a boil at least thrice before serving it, and that is something a French press cannot do.

    Both use different method and equipment. The most simplest explanation is this: for Turkish coffee, you basically “cook” the coffee, boil it over fire. French press method is basically infused water, you mix water and coffee ground, and let it sit.
    But, if what you meant is that you have a heat-resistant French press out of borosilicate glass and want to use it as ibrik, you might be able to pull it off, but, I think it won’t be as good as using the ibrik, to be frank, I don’t know what you will end up with.

    The grind for french press needs to be fairly coarse, while for Turkish mocca it needs to be even finer than for espresso.
    Besides, the brewing processes are very different.
