  1. CBTL pods work. (Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Company) These can also be re-used. You can remove the top wrapper once used, clean out the pod keeping the plastic filter parts. Refill, put plastic filter part back on top like original, then put a piece of tinfoil around the top. Cut a bunch the correct size ahead of time so you have them ready. There are stainless steel pods from China that are said to fit Verismo but I have not verified if they work yet. I know this post is from year ago, but hope my answer helps someone.

  2. Verismo espresso machines are designed for home use and many people enjoy using different types of pods in them. While some pod flavors may not be compatible with the Verismo, there are other pod models that can be used with it. In fact, there are a few different pod models that work with the Verismo machine. Here is a list of those pod models and their compatibility:

The Nespresso VertuoLine machines use pods made by Nespresso. These pods are compatible with the VertuoLine machines and they produce excellent results. The Keurig K-Elite Single Serve Coffee Maker also uses Nespresso pods and they are also compatible with that machine. The K-Elite Single Serve Coffee Maker is a great option if you want to make coffee at home but don’t want to invest in a separate espresso machine.

  3. You can’t use other types of pods in your Verismo. Each type of pod (Verismo, K-Cup, Nespresso) is designed to only work in that type of machine. They do this to lock you in to buying their machine, then making you use their pods.
K-Cups are available from many manufacturers other than Keurig, the originator. And there are different K-Cup machines not made by Keurig. But that’s because their patent expired, opening it up to other manufacturers and brands. I’m guessing patents have not expired on the other types of pods.
One POSSIBILITY (not certain). The Verismo machine and pods are made by a company called K-Fee. THEY may have pods that fit your machine. But mostly they are only available in the European Union.

  4. I don’t own a Verismo, but I can tell you that I’ve tried using generic brand pods in my Keurig and it did not work. You can always drop a few dollars on a generic brand of pods, test it out, and return the package if it doesn’t work— most grocery stores will accept returns if the package is mostly unused (or you could try returning it directly to the company).
