I’d argue against it. Two reasons:
* In a quick bit of research, couldn’t find any appropriate patching medium.
* A hairline crack can harbor contaminants. I’d just as soon not risk getting food poisoning.

I’d never trust the mug’s safety and integrity, after a hairline crack has appeared. I’m not an expert on ceramics and dish ware, this is a personal evaluation. It’s happened to all of us. In my experience, the mug eventually fails. If it’s a mug I’m really attached to, I’d retire it but keep it, use it to put pens and pencils in.
Supposedly a hairlike crack can be fixed by soaking it in milk and heating it low and slow for several hours. Can’t say I ever tried it though….
If the hairline crack is only on the exterior surface, you may be able to apply some sort of food-safe glue/epoxy.

If the crack is on the brim or interior, then no. The heat and moisture from the coffee being against it…and your mouth on the brim…will not be safe. I would be concerned about the glue/epoxy dissolving and drinking it and the brim crack cutting my lip.

Although it may be your favorite mug, put it to a new used as a change holder. Invest in your local potter and find a new mug which will soon become a favorite.
I have been able to extend the life of favorite cup fatal flaws by super gluing the outside of the crack. Usually, after a period of acceptance, the end comes anyway…
If this is a treasured cup, retire it. Repairs of any type will probably still be visible, dish washer activity will be hard on any type of sealer or adhesive. If the cup does not leak, consider continuing to use as normal. This crack in a cup is not a major item in your life…
