If you are trying to get rid of constipation, your best bet is to drink a large glass of water, a cup of coffee, then go for a brief walk (or better yet, do wind sprints).

  3. I understand that even in moderation coffee help to cause constipation as compared to teas on account of high contents of caffeine in it.

  4. No. BUT coffee is mostly water, and water can help with constipation, since most people are a bit dehydrated. The problem is this. If you drink water, you often think many ounces of it (like 16). But if you sip a hot beverage like coffee you drink less. So drink more water, in whatever form you like, and it might ease constipation.
