There are no set rules to fasting – the intent is to have mastery over your body in order to humble yourself, to seek a deeper relationship with Christ, to see God’s action in resolving impossible situations (Matthew 17:21).
You cannot drink coffee when you fast, only water is allowed except for dry fasting, no water or food is allowed. There is another fast called the Daniel fast, eat only vegetables and drink water. All other methods are void.
NO sugar no cream….
The short answer is yes if they allow that in their fast.
There are no hard and fast rules on fasting given by Christians or defined by the Bible. Rather, a Christian decides what are the rules of the fast guided by wisdom. For example, a diabetic or person with hypoglycemia should define a fast that won’t adversely effect their sugar levels. It may require eating some snacks to keep their sugar levels within range. Someone may define a fast where they don’t have any junk or fast food. Another person may only eat vegetables. Another person may only drink water.
The goal of a fast is to take away something that you normally enjoy (food) so that you discipline yourself to think about God and what he has done for us in saving us from our sin! It disciplines us to focus on God rather than our temporal needs. During my fasts I often see how worldly focused I am rather than heavenly minded. I start thinking about the food rather than the things of God. Fasting is always coupled with pray and communication with God. It shows God your seriousness in approaching him. I will always have something focused on in prayer that I am fasting for. It may be my personal holiness. It may be for a friend who doesn’t know God. It may be for an obstacle I am facing in my life. It may be for spiritual revival in America or another part of the world. It may be for the Christians in Syria or those attacked by ISIS. Prayer is always an important part of fasting.
We shouldn’t really tell others about our fasts and try to make ourselves look great before men as that is false religion. Rather it is between God and ourselves and should generally be kept quiet. The human sinful nature is such that we will try to make ourselves appear holy before men where God is more concerned about the heart so we need to be careful that the fasting isn’t a form of spiritual pride.
As a Christian, I tend to let sin into my life where it takes effort to fight it. Being a Christian, I never give up on the fight, though sometimes I fail. When I do fail, I confess my sin and move on forgetting what is behind but seeking to live fully for God. Jesus died on the cross to take away my sin so it adds to the burden which he bore so I try my best to be holy. Fasting is a way to grow spiritually stronger. It is a way to communicate to God your special requests of prayer. It is a means to really know God the creator of our universe! God is good! He is a personal God!
Some Christians fast. Others, including myself, do not.
It depends on the particular church you attend. Ask your priest or pastor.

Why not? Althought its not recommended (see Dr. Bill Bright’s answer here :
if you fast one day, it shouldn’t hurt. If your fast is longer than one day, you may want to abstain from it for health reasons.
You can have coffee before or after the fast, but all food and drink are off-limits during the fast . Some Christians will decide to fast on occasion, but Christianity does not have a dedicated fasting period like other religions do.
As per my finidings go for a black coffee, it will not break your fast but don’t go for milk or creamery along with coffee it will break your fast.
Hope I have answered your questions?
First I would like to know what religion has to do with it? My answer YES. Why not, it has no calories in coffee, tea or water.
Christians have no fast… but you can drink coffee with stevia or sweetener and it technically wouldnt break a fast.
You need 50 calories to break a fast.. but chasing tastes can be bad.
