These beans are produced for making different drinks and the plant from where they are derived from, gives a unique and unusual taste. … In simple terms, the coffee beans are used to make coffee, whereas, the cocoa beans are used to make chocolate drink, etc.

3. They are not the same and may not even be related. Coffee is brewed from the ground coffee bean from the coffee plant. Cocoa is from the Coca plant. Coffee beans are not really beans but are seeds. I had to check with Juan Valdez on this answer.

4. No they are different, coffee (drink) is made out of coffee beans, a world wide popular drink which can be brewed in numerous methods.
   As for cocoa (bean), can be made into 2 seperate products (cocoa butter, and cocoa powder), the powder mixed with water and usually milk, will produce chocolate drinks, while the butter reintroduced with cocoa powder, with usually some added sugar and milk (depends on the variety) can be made into chocolate bars. Dark chocolate contains higher content of cocoa powder (no milk or close to none), milk chocolate contains higher content of milk, white chocolate doesn’t use any cocoa powder, only butter.
   They are both originated from different continent, cocoa from south america, coffee beans from africa. But now cocoa biggest producer is africa (Ghana and Ivory Coast), while coffee beans is (Brazil which is south america, and vietnam)

5. Not in the slightest.
   Coffee beans are the pit of the fruit from a coffee plant, one of a number within the Coffea genus, part of the Rubiaceae family.
   The cacao bean is from the Theobroma cacao species, in the Malvaceae family in the Theobroma genus.
   So they’re completely different. They’re quite complimentary in flavour though, aren’t they. 🙂
