Well there are some good answers but missing one small point you need to buy the food no5 in the airport but once passed the pre screen point buying food in the food court then going to screening you will most likely have it taken away for disposal. Wait to buy your sub or sandwich until after you have been screened then you can take it and your bottle of water on to the plane.
Yes. Anything bought past screening can be brought on and consumed. More than a few flights out of Charlotte include Bojangles fried chicken which makes for an interesting odor in the cabin and perhaps some jealousy. Bar drinks in a take kit cup or alcohol cannot be consumed on board
Yes,
It doesn’t HAVE to fit into your carry on, if its in a separate bag with the store name on it, a flight attendant is not going to hassle you,
So me walking on with a “Chipotle “ bag is a non issue
sure, people do that all the time. Even bring full meals they bought in the terminal. Sometimes they kinda stink. They don’t usually put them in the bag though, if it is clear it is a food item to eat.
You can bring any food purchased in the airport onto the plane and it does need to go into your carry-on. A to-go bag from an airport food venue would not count as a piece of carry-on
